The overall structure of high-strength prestressing steel strand is of a torsional type, and its raw material is steel wire. Generally speaking, some commonly used methods for improving steel strands include adding zinc coating, processing zinc-aluminum alloy coating, spraying epoxy resin, etc. These methods can effectively improve the physical and chemical properties of steel strands and greatly expand the application range of steel strands. What are the main advantages of using high-strength prestressed steel strands?
The main purpose of this article is to overcome the shortcomings of low tensile strength of concrete and make full use of high-strength steel. When the tensile stress reaches 250 MPa, and the crack width reaches 0.2-0.3 m, the durability of the component will decrease, and it is not suitable for high-humidity and corrosive working environments. The role of prestressed steel strands is to apply prestress to the component before the component is stressed, thereby controlling the tensile stress level of the component, or even making the component in a compressive state. In order to avoid early cracking of reinforced concrete components, high-strength steel and high-strength concrete should be fully utilized to improve their performance and durability.
