Advantages, disadvantages, and characteristics of mining steel wire ropes
Coal mining is essential to our lives, but it's also a high-risk industry. The safety of coal mining is a major concern for every miner's family. Steel wire ropes are not only used in coal mines; they are composed of many iron wires. To ensure product quality and avoid major safety accidents, fatigue performance tests of mining steel wire rope must be carried out before engineering application.
In recent years, China's investment in highway, railway, transportation, and infrastructure construction remains significant. Road construction investment will be tilted towards rural or underdeveloped areas, and the focus of urban transportation infrastructure construction will shift to public transportation, with rail transit as the mainstay.
Currently, the technology for coated mining steel wire rope is mature, and the filled type mining steel wire rope has also been successfully trial-produced. According to experts, the epoxy filler can effectively play a corrosion-prevention role. Natural corrosives are basically divided into acids, alkalis, salts, and ultraviolet rays. Epoxy coating materials have good acid, alkali, and salt corrosion resistance. In addition, experts are researching the addition of special substances to the outer layer of the coating or the use of special color sun protection principles to further improve the corrosion resistance of the product.
