I. Use of Steel Strands
1 During the use of prestressed steel strands, any form of heating and deformation measures are strictly prohibited to avoid reducing the mechanical properties of the prestressed steel strands.
2 Welding is strictly prohibited during use, because the strength of the weld is much lower than that of the steel itself, and it is easy to cause broken wires at the weld during tensioning.
3 Prestressed steel strands should be cut with a toothless saw (abrasive wheel). Cutting with electric welding or gas welding can easily damage the surface around the steel. At the same time, it causes local overheating at the end, leading to a decrease in mechanical properties.
4 When prestressed steel wires are used for cyclic reinforcement, their bending radius shall not be less than three times their diameter.
5 Prestressed steel strands packaged in coil without shaft should be unwound from the inner shaft in a vertical position. The unwound steel strands will form a spring shape and straighten automatically. Unwinding direction: After unwinding, the spiral direction of the spring-shaped strand is consistent with the twisting direction of the strand; otherwise, it will become tangled or disordered.
6 The twisting direction of prestressed steel strands is generally left-handed. If right-handed twisting is used, it should be specified in the contract; otherwise, it will directly affect its connection with the anchor.
7 The quality of the prestressed steel wire anchorage head is not directly related to the quality of the wire itself, but excessive strength will be detrimental to the quality of the wire anchorage head. Therefore, when you choose anchorage head anchoring, you should inform us in the order.
II. Acceptance of Steel Strands
1 The acceptance of prestressed steel should be carried out in accordance with relevant national standards. The experimental instruments should be legally calibrated measuring instruments and comply with the provisions of the test standards.
2 If quality problems occur during acceptance, attention should be paid to checking whether the items meet the regulations.
( 1 ) Whether the latest national standards and test methods have been used for acceptance.
( 2 ) Whether the tonnage of the testing machine is appropriate, whether the measurement is standard, whether the fracture of the steel is a shear fracture, and whether the nominal area is used to calculate the strength.
( 3 ) Whether the bending chuck of the bending testing machine meets the national standard, and whether the surface finish, hole height, and bending angle of the chuck meet the standard.
( 4 ) The determination of the elongation of the steel should use sharp and standard marking distance tools, and cause no damage to the steel surface.
( 5 ) Whether the steel itself has serious rust caused by storage and man-made surface damage.
